Space Walkers

I've got the NASA internet tv going in the corner of my screen so I can watch the space walk while I lunch/work.

Was thinking of when man stepped on the moon. I was staying with my cousins and we got really excited. We screamed and hollered and jumped on the couches celebrating the first step. We were some excited little kids. hehe.

Just A Quick Post ...

... to say I wish I had more time to blog. I'd really like to update my blog template and reorganize it and make more frequent posts and build up my reader base and blah blah blah. But no extra time right now.

I've been working on a new template in my mind tho.

3/3/09 Square Root Day...

...a calendar holiday when the day and the month are both the square root of the last two digits of the current year. Square Root Day occurs only nine times in a century. The last one occurred on February 2, 2004, and the next will occur in seven years on April 4, 2016. That's your calendar tidbit for the day!

A Good Find

I started scanning the big box of negatives -- those old big medium format ones -- that I snagged from my folks house before it sold. Always been curious to see if there are some special gems in there that did not have companion prints in the family photo albums.

Here's one of my favorites so far of my mom riding a bicycle. A bicycle? I never saw her ride one, never pictured her riding one, and I think she may have said she could not ride one. She may very well just be faking it and just posing, but I'm loving it.
