Decades Make The Heart Grow Fonder
I've been lucky lately to have visited with old friends that I haven't seen for a long, long time -- as a matter fact, we're talking decades!
On July 3, I was able to take time out from the Bauer BBQ visit with Sherry who lives near there. It was so great to visit. It had literally been 30 years since we have seen each other.
Here are Sherry and Paul in their fabulous backyard.
That was on Monday, and the following weekend I was able to visit with Jess and Jean and we think it was 24 years ago that we actually saw each other.
We went to a flea market. Jess is shopping for gloves.
So much fun to catch up. Just fell right back into that comfortable place just like it was yesterday! Although, lots has happened to us all. Big stuff. Just think -- none of them had ever met Gene, although both said his death really affected them. They are all such kind and thoughtful people.
Look up your old friends! It's fun!
